The canvas is thick and sturdy and so is the frame.  I love how the edges look, it needs no frame.

Since I already had a frame that goes well in my foyer I decided to use it again.  Plus, I love it and I got the best deal ever on (read about my cheap frame here and see the old family photo).  The canvas slides right into the frame, that's all there is to it.
