Check out some of the amazing blogs I've found recently that are definitely worth a read:

This dinning room screams glamorous to me! The glass above the fireplace makes a huge statement and the rest of this Victorian house tour is lovely - check it out at styleinsideuk.

I am anxiously waiting for one of my favorite bloggers books that's out on preorder now! Erin Gates from Elements of Style has always been a great source of inspiration for me.

Bloesem Living | The Veggie Collection - posters from Vontrueba

Bloesem also featured this new veggie collection of prints by Carmen to spice up your walls! This is a great way to add some color and life to your space.

Love this bar inspired by old crafstmen table, and built from reclaimed pine.  Check out more amazing reclaimed art projects at Sikada Creative.

There are some seriously inspiring bloggers in my blogroll and I wanted to show off some of the great finds that they have been posting about on their sites that I am currently loving!

Mocca and Me did a room crush that I couldn't agree with more! It seriously makes you want to curl up on the couch and open up a book.

These super adorable prints are from liberty heritage fabric but they are found on decor8blog which I absolutely love. Holly is so creative and such an inspiration.

Blue Chevron Tile Floor

Maria Killam has an amazing post out about using ceramic tile to make a space eye catching. I love the different patterns and options she shows off and how much character they can add to the home.

This fabulous kitchen which uses the two toned cabinets. I'm also in love with how simple and chic it is! Providence Ltd Design took my breath away with this one!

And last but not least, Pink Wallpaper is making me want to spend a little more time outside enjoying the weather this summer!

The trends of wallpaper come and go but there are some styles that I feel like stick around really well and I could imagine having in my own home:

If the pattern is busy, I'd say go with a neutral color way or only one wall.

Classic patterns, like the diamonds above or the stripes below, are a surefire and chic way to go.

Going with neutral colors or a simple print like stripes is a great choice for something that can last a a long time in a home and potentially resell just fine!

Prints that seem to stick around are another option. There are always those few that don't seem to ever go out of style. Floral trellises are one example.

If you know you are going to be in the home you are in go with something you love! My suggestion would be to pick something you know you will still love years down the road, like a print you've always adored, since changing up wallpaper isn't as easy.

Have fun with it, because after all - it is your home!

Ideas for using pattern in your decor (especially if you're afraid of it)

While I'm transitioning my house from winter to spring, I keep seeing all these fun prints I want to incorporate in my home decor. Here's a few that have caught my eye:

I love to mix and match accent pillows and since these are the easiest and most budget friendly way to change up the colors in your home, they are on the top of my list.

A pattern in neutral colors like the checkers on the floor means you don't have to be married to one color palette. You can swap out different accent colors through out the year.

Don't be afraid to go bold! This rug is eye catching and I like that it stands out a little since rugs tend to hide behind the rest of the home decor.

I love the look of these chairs. Between the studs and pattern only being on the back side. It give sit a glamorous yet fun look to it.

The entryway is a great place to try a little pattern because there isn't a lot of space to be overwhelmed.  It also creates impact right from the start since it's usually the first area of your home someone sees.

Journeys into Jaipur always has helped me search for the old blocks used for printing..Each journey has gifted me one or two blocks. An arrangement on the side table where the blocks stood along the fiery Red Hibiscus flowers. This morning waking up to the withered and fallen flowers was a sight. Blockprint cushions and bedsheets always had a soft corner at our home. The Indian touch lended an air of elegance in the rooms...
