Most bathrooms in a home are just your average bathroom with a touch of paint or wallpaper and maybe an updated mirror. Here are a few that are anything but traditional!

To me this says, masculine doesn't have to be boring!

Do: Spread the light around. Have several different lighting sources. Put them high, low and in-between.

We have a few pieces of furniture that I am thinking would look great with a quick touch of some paint and would really add some dimension to my decor. Before I get in too deep, I'd love to here some success, and maybe some not so successful stories!

Have you done, would you do it, how did you do it!? I'd love to hear it all.

Bringing the Beach Indoors

Home decor should reflect where you've been, who you are, and what you love. If that is the beach, here is some great inspiration to make it a beach getaway indoors, even if it's not outdoors!

These light fixtures are gorgeous and remind me of a lighthouse style!

A driftwood mirror is an easy DIY that looks amazing!

Beach decor doesn't have to be blue, it can be simple and white too!

It can be as simple as some beautiful beach pictures.

Or a back splash that reminds you of the ocean.

Maybe it's a basket of seashells and sea life!

Whatever it is, make sure you enjoy it!

Bedroom Seating

Decorating a bedroom doesn't seem that difficult but decorating one with a joined seating area can sometimes get tricky! Finding the right pieces that compliment each other aren't always easy to come by.

Picking tones that blend well together and using accent pillows to tie them in is a great start.

For rooms that don't necessarily have  dedicated seating area, a bench at the end of the bed is a great alternative!

It's important to decide if you want the seating area to stand out or the bed. Which one do you want your eye to gravitate to more?

Sticking with comfort and serene is a great idea since this is your bedroom, you do want it to be a place that creates a calm atmosphere.

A window seat does double duty! You have a great seating area with plenty of storage underneath!

Light Bright Kitchen

Light and bright does not mean you have to do head to toe white! If you are looking for a nice bright kitchen without it being completely whitewashed, here's a little inspiration that can help:

Ilot central, carreaux de ciment, chêne clair, fenêtres arrondies... and so on...

A light natural wood will never steer you wrong! It goes great with the light and airy feel and looks clean too.

Not into wood? A simple gray or tan can keep your kitchen nice and bright and pair's nicely with white accents for a timeless feel.

If you are dying for a little color stay on the pale end of things. this light blue is almost white but it's not! Paired with white upper cabinets and a blue back splash make this kitchen feel colorful, light, and airy.

If you have more of an eclectic style you can use a variation of different natural hues that tie together to complete that bright kitchen you desire.

If dark hues are more your style, go big on lighting and natural lighting. Nothing is brighter than the sun!
