I keep seeing stunning things from Global Views High Point Market. There's something to say about the quality and taste they have.

This time they are bringing red back into to style! A while ago I did a post on adding a pop of red into your home and I think they mastered this. Some of my favorite pieces are:

This bezel border pillow. Such a great way to accent your decor.

These stunning hexagon old world vases! You wouldn't expect this color to go well with red but it definitely does.

The spotswood rug gives a very classy look without hesitating to catch your eye with that stunning red.

A bottle light fixture to give the room something shiny! You can find all these lovely things at Global Views.

What's your favorite things about the room?

Light Bright Kitchen

Friday, March 27, 2015

Light and bright does not mean you have to do head to toe white! If you are looking for a nice bright kitchen without it being completely whitewashed, here's a little inspiration that can help:

Ilot central, carreaux de ciment, chêne clair, fenêtres arrondies... and so on...

A light natural wood will never steer you wrong! It goes great with the light and airy feel and looks clean too.

Not into wood? A simple gray or tan can keep your kitchen nice and bright and pair's nicely with white accents for a timeless feel.

If you are dying for a little color stay on the pale end of things. this light blue is almost white but it's not! Paired with white upper cabinets and a blue back splash make this kitchen feel colorful, light, and airy.

If you have more of an eclectic style you can use a variation of different natural hues that tie together to complete that bright kitchen you desire.

Industrial warehouse look kitchen with exposed red brick and sunlight with wooden beams. Love the hanging iron pans - adds so much character!

If dark hues are more your style, go big on lighting and natural lighting. Nothing is brighter than the sun!

Going Modern in the Bathroom

Monday, October 27, 2014

Most would assume that going modern in a bathroom would make it look even more cold and sterile than it already does, but they haven't seen all the options yet!

Elegant and Dynamic Atmosphere on Israel’s Mediterranean Coast

The right lighting can make any room feel warm and plants get it a fresh look that bring a sense of comfort and color to the room.

This modern floating vanity provides tons of useful storage space! More of our favorite bathroom upgrades: http://www.bhg.com/bathroom/remodeling/planning/our-favorite-bathroom-upgrades/?socsrc=bhgpin052513floatingvanities=1

Using neutral colors along with the modern materials can give it that warm feeling you are looking for paired with some great mirrors makes it even brighter. I love that tile!

Even with the darker tones for a more manly bathroom doesn't have to look cold and miserable. It still looks modern and sleek with a hint of color and I love it!

There are some great vanity and shower tub options that are on Modern Bath that can help you match these looks.

There's a couple of things I like about this room: large round mirror; the vintage wall hung vanity echoes the journey to all of the modern interpretations we see today, but is one of a kind - and those timber tones in a bathroom - sensational.

You could even mix the modern with the vintage for a completely different look! It's a great mix of new and old that comes to life when it's together.

Dusting Off The Dining Room Table

Monday, September 22, 2014

As the cooler weather is settling in and fall brings us indoors, I can't help but think of all the holiday events and dinner parties that are coming soon! In preparation I am dusting off the dining room table and finding some inspiration to make it shine this year:

Keep in mind that changing out your dining room doesn't have to be a pricey event. A few candles, a cheap centerpiece, and maybe a few stunning seat covers can really change the ambiance of a room.

Another option might be some fresh flowers and throw pillows to add a little color and life!

Even just changing out the lighting can really make a room stand out. This chandelier screams for attention!

Have some fun with it!

Patio Inspiration

Monday, July 14, 2014

Where we live, it's not uncommon for the deck to be off the second story and there be an open space or patio with a walk out basement. What to do with that open space can be a struggle for many!

Here are a few ideas to get you inspired to use that extra space instead of wasting it:

One of the most common reasons for it to not be used is because it's constantly shaded and depending on when the sun gets around to it, sometimes it's just plain dark and dingy. Adding a fireplace can make this unused space a go to for some warmth and comfort. This will also extend the life of your outdoor space!

Screen it in! Keep the bugs out and enjoy some shade for a change. This will also open up the choices you can make decorating and furniture wise for the space!

Make it a party space! Set it up for some great gatherings. This also doubles as a back up plan for outdoor parties in case of rainy weather.

Add some storage. Make the space have usable storage for all your outdoor needs. Whether it's under the stairs or along one wall, most outdoor spaces could use a little extra storage.

Utilize your space under your deck. Always a great idea. Great job here.

Light it up! Take advantage of the beams and the under side of your deck and make it the ultimate setting. Whether you simply add curtains from the beams and or string lights, this place can go from drab to romantic in minutes.

Going Grey

There's something to be said about the color grey, especially in a home setting. It isn't too feminine and it isn't to masculine. You can pair it with almost any color, and it leaves such a crisp clean look to it!  I'm a long-time fan, hubby is a little harder to convince.  He thinks it's boring...sigh...

In most cases, it goes great with keeping a room light and bright!
